Developing concepts

So i have started my development of my final project, for my university course. For my final year i will only be handing in one project. I have chosen to contuie my specialisation and work on 3D enviroment design. This is the aspect of game design that interests me. I will be choosing a setting to set my 3D work on now. I am still going to be working from areas in my in progress novel. I have slimmed down my idea to what i want to work on.

  • Dwarf settlement (collection of objects)
  • Main guild in Felbar (single object)
  • Minerath (collection of objects)
  • Elder Tree (collection of objects)
  • Blackthorn Guild (single object)
  • Floating ruins of Usuron (collection of objects)
  • Earth Shrine (single object)
  • Temple Of Light (single object)
  • Caravan Train (collection of objects)
  • Farmhouse.(single object)
All these areas are taken from the same setting, choosing one to focus on. As they are all part of the same setting (Tales Of Syfen) i am keen to develop all these areas and more. The main goal for me this year is a vast improvement on my 3D skills, while being ready to develop something at a professional standard, to start developing my game. Tales Of Syfen.

For each setting i want to create some concept art for each. 

  • Small amount of artwork, handful of buildings/ objects
  • Full environment art piece
  • Written Description of each area.
